House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) said Tuesday that he’s not happy with the Republican Party’s handling of the Obamacare debate and said he expects to be back at the Capitol soon.

“It is the Republican party that has the responsibility to explain this issue,” Boehner told Fox News host Chris Wallace in an interview released Tuesday.

“That’s what we’re going to do, we’re gonna explain this to the American people.”

The comments came as Republicans in the House passed the GOP-backed bill to repeal Obamacare, which would provide a two-year delay to Obamacare subsidies.

GOP lawmakers also passed a new funding measure that would fund the government through March 31, but the funding package will likely face a difficult road in the Senate.

The House bill includes $2 trillion for the Department of Health and Human Services and $300 billion for Medicaid.

The Senate bill does not include the $300bn for Medicaid, leaving lawmakers with a $2.9 trillion gap between the House and Senate plans.

Boehner said that he expected to return to the Capitol on Tuesday.
